Getting Very Old Can Be Deadly

Over the past few months, a number of world's oldest people have died. The age has dropped in the past year from 116 to 114. I can't be the only person to see a pattern here, and thus of course a motive. I don't see how it could be more obvious that some spry 103-year-old is getting tired of waiting years and years to get the title.
