I did a couple of hours of highway driving on Saturday evening. There were a lot of bugs out. Evidence from my windshield suggests that there are now considerably fewer.

One could presume that the rate of which the bugs are removed via your windshield is consideribly less than the rate by which those suckers (pun intended) multiply. Unless you drive a lot. Like, really a lot.
