What are Preschoolers Up to These Days?
I see in the news that the host of a PBS show aimed at preschoolers was let go from her job because years ago she made some fake PSAs on the topic of being a "technical virgin." The reason they give is that "...the dialogue in this video is inappropriate for her role as a preschool program host and may undermine her character's credibility with our audience," said Sandy Wax, network president (copyright 2006 Associated Press).
I have one question for Sandy Wax. Do you really mean to suggest that the audience - preschool age children - has seen the video?

It's the christian right flexing their muscles - they just fired a high school art teacher here in Austin because she had posed nude and semi-nude for her girlfriend (a professional photographic artist), and the photographs were posted on the artists website. One school board official went so far as to actually say that she would not have been fired if the pictures were hanging in a public gallery.
